This Weekends Baseball Trends
Well here we are the last day of April 2010. It has bee an great month of baseball and we many interesting series that start today and run through the weekend. I few of these match ups caught my eye. Let me tell what I am talking about.
First we have the Arizona Diamondback at Chicago Cubs. There are many trends here that you should take notice. 9 of the last 13 games in this series have gone over the total including last night’s game. 4 out of the last 7 games in their series have gone over the total played at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The weather is nice upper 70’s and the wind is blowing 25-32 mph from the south. This looks like another over even thought the sports books have the total at 14.5.
Next we have the New York Mets at Philadelphia Phillies. Another nice day here with the high temperature about 78 degrees and the win is 10-19 mph out of the southwest. The history here between these two teams is to bet the total under. 20 of 34 games in the series have gone Under the Total over the last 3 seasons. 10 of 17 games in the series played in Philly have gone Under the Total over the last 3 season. The sports book have tonight total list at 10.5.
The next match up we have the Washington Nationals at Florida Marlins. Here is a lopsided series. The Florida Marlins are 26-9 against the Washington Nationals over the last 3 seasons. 21 of 31 games in this series have gone Over the Total the last 3 seasons. For the games played in Florida the Marlins are 14-4 against the Washington Nationals and 9 out 16 have gone Over the Total in Florida.
Houston Astros at Atlanta Braves. Here we have two total trends that differ. 7 of 12 games in this series have gone Under the Total over the last 3 seasons. However, 3 of 6 games in this series have gone Over the Total played in Atlanta. The weather is great with temperature in the low 80’s and little wind if any.
Cincinnati Reds at St Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals are 20-14 against the Reds over the last 3 seasons. The Cardinals are 9-4 over the Reds in St Louis over the last 3 seasons. Also the Cardinals are 2-1 against the Red this season. 2 of 3 games have gone Over the Total this season.
Pittsburgh Pirates at Los Angeles Dodgers. 11 of 18 games in this series have gone Over the Total the last 3 seasons. 4 of 7 games in this series plays in Los Angeles have gone Over the Total the last 3 seasons. Pittsburgh Pirates are 3-1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers this season.
